When Canadian ice hockey legend Wayne Gretzky was once asked about his recipe for success, he is said to have replied that he was not playing where the puck was, but where it was going to be next. He had obviously mastered the ability to sense and perceive the opportunities on the pitch that were just about to emerge.

This is exactly the challenge that Wolfgang Grilz sees organisations and the people who work in them constantly confronted with. And it is his mission to support them in this – in such a way that both the organisations can develop in the best possible way and the people who work in them can flourish.
Wolfgang Grilz, Mag.phil., MSc
Wolfgang Grilz is a renowned expert in corporate and management culture, organisational and HR development. He is a partner of Trigon Development Consultants. In addition, he has held numerous lectureships at several universities in recent years (University of Graz, Graz University of Technology, Montanuniversität Leoben, PEF Private University of Management Vienna) and publishes regularly. His work has led him to a number of European cities, among them Amsterdam, Ankara, Berlin, Berne, Bilbao, Bratislava, Budapest, Bruges, Cracow, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Moscow, Prague and Zagreb and, of course, Vienna.
Wolfgang was born in Waiern in 1961. He studied English and German philology at Graz and Oxford and subsequently worked as a research assistant at the University of Graz and as a trainer for English for Special Purposes. In the founding phase of the International Language Centre of the University of Graz he became its managing director. Later he served as the pedagogical director of a training centre, the head of an EU project for quality assurance in educational institutions, a trainer and consultant.
During his work on his personal development, he has carried out intensive research on the subject of methods of mindfulness-based leadership, systemic concepts of organisational and HR development, analysis-based supervision as well as on coaching and group dynamics. His working languages are German and English.
Wolfgang lives in Graz and Vienna and spends his free time hiking, travelling and reading.
